Connect MacBook Pro to TV

Apple has used 2 different kinds of video ports on the MacBook Pro depending on the model.

Newer MacBook Pros have a Mini DisplayPort (now called Thunderbolt port). This includes brand new MacBook Pros. It is on the side of the MacBook Pro and looks like this:

If you have a very new MacBook Pro or have this port on the side of your MacBook Pro, then the Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt kit is what you need to connect to your TV.



Older MacBook Pros have a DVI port. It is located on the side of the MacBook Pro. It looks like this:

If you have this port on the side of your MacBook, then the DVI kit is what you need to connect to your TV.
