Connect Mac Mini to TV

Apple has used 2 different kinds of video ports on the Mac Mini depending on the model.

Newer Mac Minis have a Mini DisplayPort (now called Thunderbolt port). This includes brand new Mac Minis. It is on the back of the Mac Mini and looks like this:

If you have a very new Mac Mini or have this port on the back of your Mac Mini then the Mini DisplayPort/Thunderbolt kit is what you need to connect to your TV.



Older Mac Minis have a DVI port. It is located on the back of the Mac Mini. It looks like this:

If you have this port on the back of your Mac Mini, then the DVI kit is what you need to connect to your TV.
